Wire Drawers — Scunthorpe

The Wire Drawer will ensure efficient daily running of the wire drawing lines and general housekeeping.

Using natural products sourced locally, the steel to create our amazing springs starts at British Steel, the same steel that is used to create our incredible springs has been used to create airports, train stations and even the Sydney harbour bridge.

We use our patented technology to be able to create the thinnest spring on the market. Through our efforts, we are proud winners of five Queen’s Awards for Enterprise - including two in Sustainability. We deliver truly inspirational comfort technology that can be used in a wide variety of products from furniture to sports shoes.

We are currently recruiting for Wire Drawers to join the team at our Wire Drawing site in Scunthorpe.

48 hour week. Day and nights rotating on a 4-day (Mon to Thurs) shift pattern, Days - 6am to 6pm. Nights – 6pm – 6am.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify the correct specification sheets from the production orders
  • Select and build the correct drawing die sets
  • Set-up machine in line with wire specification
  • Monitor cooling and drawing products to maximise efficiency
  • Inspect product of conformance with specification and quality requirements throughout running process
  • Ability to monitor product quality and adjust maintain specification requirements
  • Always maintain a safe and clean working environment

Skills & Experience required:

  • Previous wire drawing experience desirable
  • The ability to troubleshoot, maintain and make minor repairs to wire drawing equipment.
  • Good communication skills
  • Self-motivated & able to work under pressure
  • Passion to achieve set targets
  • Promotes teamwork
