Restaurant & Bar Manager — The Arnage/​The Motorist — Sherburn in Elmet

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Restaurant & Bar Manager to join the team, by managing the smooth day to day operational running & standards of the Arnage and The Motorist Café. 40 hours per week. 5 days over 7. Will involve weekend & evening working

Harrison Spinks Events is part of the wider Harrison Spinks Group and is a unique event business based in North Yorkshire, with its own charming venues including Hornington Manor, Carlton Manor and The Motorist & The Arnage.

The Motorist Café and Showroom is the newly merged relaxed café and showroom experience at The Motorist. The café and classic car showroom is the perfect place for a quick pit stop and bite to eat, surrounded by an array of classic cars for sale at competitive prices.

The Arnage Restaurant is the newest addition to The Motorist. The Arnage is named after the iconic corner of the legendary Le Mans circuit and offers high quality dining and conference space to cater to every event.

Reporting into the Operations Manager, the Restaurant & Bar Supervisor will promote all available business opportunities, support the team with maximizing revenue and keeping up to date with current Food & Beverage trends and implement new ideas and products.

40 hours per week. 5 days over 7. Will involve weekend & evening working

Duties include:

  • Welcoming & introducing our guests to this fantastic & unique venue
  • Produce the Revenue forecast each week which includes the wage percentage
  • Ensure the team are aware of and how to influence and maximize revenue and understand the wage percentage
  • To ensuring the senior team are aware of their responsibilities and perform duties to a high standard
  • To be familiar with the days business, restaurant, and conference bookings so that you can prepare the team, the department and be ready for action
  • Ensuring all cash, charge, float and till procedures are carried out correctly.
  • To continuously work towards improving sales and service
  • Attend weekly meetings to run through upcoming events and conduct daily briefings with the team
  • Continually assess individual training needs and action remedies and guidance where needed to ensure guest satisfaction.

About you:

As an experienced and passionate Restaurant & Bar Supervisor or Food & Beverage / FOH Manager, you will possess excellent understanding of the hospitality industry and able to demonstrate superb attention to detail.

You will be a personable & exceptional communicator, who is confident to deliver and communicate sales and service improvement strategies, whilst having a confident approach in the venues you are overseeing and promoting.

As a self-motivated individual, you will be comfortable working individually and part of a wider team who is driven to achieve KPI’s and targets, whilst demonstrating resilience and a passion for excellent customer service.

As a supportive leader, you will motivate and inspire your team by creating an environment that promotes positive communication, encourages bonding of team members, and supports with development and training.
