Guides & Advice
You may have heard the term ‘True Edge technology’ mentioned when talking about Harrison divan bases and bed frames. But what does True Edge actually mean and why would you want a True Edge divan base over a conventional sprung base?
Most conventional sprung bases have a collapsing sprung edge around their parameter. This can often give you the feeling that you are about to roll out of bed if you are sleeping near the edges of the mattress, as there is a lot of ‘give’ in the edges of the divan.
However, all of our Harrison bed frames and divan bases use True Edge technology which eliminates any of that ‘give’ around the edges of the bed. There is a reinforced edging around the parameter of the base, which encases the pocket springs. This means you can sleep right to the edge of your mattress without fear of rolling out.
Our True Edge technology not only maximises the sleeping surface, but also enhances the longevity of your mattress whilst making it a lot easier to get in and out of bed.
Whilst all of our Harrison mattresses can be used with any bed frame or divan base, we recommend using a True Edge pocket sprung divan base for optimum comfort and support. All of our True Edge bases are available with a number of different drawer configurations, and can be upholstered in a fabric of your choice.
