Event Steward — The Motorist — Sherburn in Elmet

Harrison Spinks Events is part of the wider Harrison Spinks Group and is a unique event business based in North Yorkshire, with its own charming venues including Hornington Manor, Carlton Manor and The Motorist & The Arnage.

As an Event Steward you would be dealing with members of the public, the flow of traffic & the cleanliness of the site at various events held at The Motorist. Ensuring our guests not only have a safe and enjoyable experience but a memorable one too. If you have an interest in cars & a background in events / hospitality this is the job for you!

As an Event Steward you will be crossed trained in all areas of the event for your role may vary from speed warden to gate keeper, parking attendant & more within in the same event.

Part Time position – 25 hours per week. This role would involve weekend and evening working.

Duties include:

• Provide excellent customer service / care.
• Assist in carrying out pre-event checks.
• Attend pre-event briefings and be familiar with location layout, facilitates and emergency procedures.
• Assist with ticket checking, queue management and aid in ensuring an even flow of members of the public in to the event / venue.
• Monitor crowds for any signs of disturbance, incidents and overcrowding.
• Respond and assist with any emergency situation as required that may arise.

About you:

• Passionate about delivering outstanding hospitality to our guests whilst demonstrating good motoring & food knowledge
• You will have some commercial awareness
• You must lead your team by example, demonstrating consistency whilst being the face of the operation.
• Be fun, engaging, professional and be mega organised
