Manufacturing

Employing around 500 people, there are often opportunities available within our manufacturing teams. 

With different levels of experience required for each job and a range of job roles available view our current vacancies to find the one that’s perfect for you.

The majority of our manufacturing facilities are located in Leeds, but we also have factories in Tadcaster and Scunthorpe. 

We provide training

We want to ensure you get the most from your job and uphold the high standards of quality that we require from our teams. Many roles within our manufacturing departments include on-the-job training and programs designed to support you as you learn your new craft.

We aim to nurture talent when we see it. Some roles have an apprenticeship program to encourage young people into a career in manufacturing.

A job for life

More than 18% of staff have been with us for over ten years, and a number of people have been perfecting their craft for over thirty years. We are really proud to have seen so many people progress in their careers whilst working at Harrison Spinks.

More than one factory

The largest Harrison Spinks factory is based in Leeds, but there are also manufacturing sites in Scunthorpe and Tadcaster.

In Scunthorpe, we have a factory on the British Steel site. It’s here that steel is drawn into a fine wire that can be used to make springs and old mattresses are recycled.

In Tadcaster, all the hemp and flax grown in the fields are processed into a material that can be used at our fillings plant in Leeds to make soft and sumptuous mattress fillings.
