Site Manager

Harrison Spinks are currently looking for an experienced Site Manager to join our site in Scunthorpe. 

  • Manage the production team and coordinate all activities across production, planning and maintenance.
  • Work with the quality team to set standards and drive continuous improvement.
  • Outline improved production techniques and ways of working such as quality checks, shift handover, weekly start-up procedures and set production improvement goals where required.
  • Ensure customer orders are completed on time to quality standards.
  • Ensure 5S is implemented and sustained.
  • Ensure that production will be cost effective.
  • Monitor the production processes and adjust schedules as needed.
  • Monitor productivity losses and liaise with the engineering department.
  • Lead all daily and weekly production meetings, team briefs and report back to the Operations Director.
  • Liaise with different departments, to ensure we support their production targets and there is production continuity throughout the business.
  • Review the previous days performance, forward planning and mitigating any risks that could impact production or delivery to customers such as material shortages or machine downtime
  • Develop production budgets and schedules and assist Operation Director with man planning budgets.
  • Makes changes to the budget and schedule as required, such as rescheduling.
  • Work with senior management to implement the company's policies and goals.
  • Collate and analyse data, putting together production reports for senior managers.
  • Manage/motivate/coach/develop and mentor the team leaders.
  • Ensure Team leaders are keeping up to date with all training requirements.
  • Ensure all employee training documents are up to standard and up-to-date including H&S documents.
  • Look to reduce expenses and increase productivity.
  • Communicate any barriers to senior management.
  • Work with the Sales team to hit 100% on time delivery.
  • Manage all HR related activities – recruitment, 1-2-1’s, appraisals, development plans, training, performance management and disciplinaries in conjunction with the HR team.
  • Approve spend for production needs.
  • Ensure that health and safety guidelines are always followed and any H&S issues dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Complete 6 monthly reviews with the team, sets targets and goals withing this time frame.
