Maintenance Assistant — Multisite Sherburn in Elmet

Harrison Spinks are currently hiring a Maintenance Assistant to join the Harrison Spinks team supporting with the Accommodation and Events sites of the business.

Reporting directly into the Build & Facilities Manager the successful candidate will support with handling basic repairs and maintenance whilst conducting routine inspections of premises & equipment.

The working hours will be 5 out of 7 days with occasional weekend & evening working.

The role will be across all our Events sites. (Working in a 20 mile radios)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing preventative maintenance
  • Handling basic repairs & maintenance
  • Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary
  • Diagnosing of issues and correcting them
  • Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary
  • Maintenance of grounds as necessary

Experience & Skills required:

  • Proven maintenance experience.
  • Ability to check drawings, repair manuals, or parts catalogues as necessary.
  • Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices.
  • Experience performing routine maintenance.
  • Ability to maintain focus while working individually
  • Own vehicle as travel to site essential for the role
