Distribution Sales Manager — Spinks — Leeds

We are now recruiting for a Distribution Sales Manager to join the Components Team in Millshaw, Leeds, to manage and ensure the smooth running of the Sales office and Distribution Centre

We are now recruiting for a Distribution Sales Manager to join the Components Team in Millshaw, Leeds, to manage and ensure the smooth running of the Sales office and Distribution Centre.

Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm

Reporting into The Global Sales Director, the Distribution Centre Manager will lead a small team within both warehouse and the sales office whilst managing warehouse capacity with effective and efficient storage of both external finished goods and internal raw materials.

As the DS Manager, you will manage the sales admin team and oversee daily processing of orders and subsequent production requests, whilst managing the customer/product/costing details held on the database.

You will manage customer complaints and ensure investigations and root causes are identified and rectified and will be involved in the implementation of a new ERP system in late 2023.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To manage the site; including landlord, maintenance, security, housekeeping, 5S, equipment, utilities, waste management

  • Manage all export documentation in conjunction with administrators.
  • Participate in daily meetings across multiple sites to ensure appropriate flow of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Approval of all distribution costs, always working as cost efficiently as possible and in line with budget.
  • Oversee timely despatch and invoicing of all goods.
  • Work to 100% On Time in Full, reporting any failures, investigating and rectifying root causes with production and sales.
  • Manage receipt, time slot allocation, booking and storage of inbound and finished goods.
  • Plan and organise transport requirements for external customers.
  • Stock control, including daily, weekly and quarterly stock counts, input and variance reconciliation
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the sales team, re marketing, exhibiting, conferencing, customer meetings
  • Oversee training and development plans for all reports.

Skills & Experience required:

As an experienced and passionate Sales Distribution Manager, you will possess excellent understanding of both Distribution and customer care and able to demonstrate sales and office management skills.

You will be a personable & exceptional communicator, who is confident to deliver and communicate to the wider business, whilst having a confident approach dealing with internal and external customers.

As a self-motivated individual, you will be comfortable working individually and part of a wider team who is driven to achieve KPI’s and targets, whilst demonstrating resilience.

As a supportive leader, you will motivate and inspire your team by creating an environment that promotes positive communication, encourages bonding of team members, and supports with development and training.

Knowledgeable on Exports in desirable but not essential for this role.
