Harrison Spinks Events is a unique event business based in North Yorkshire, with four of its own charming venues — Hornington Manor, The Oakwood at Ryther, The Motorist and Carlton Manor in East Yorkshire.

Our experienced events teams will work with you every step of the way, from planning the initial concept to on-the-day coordination, to create a truly memorable occasion.

Our events business is part of the Harrison Spinks Group and the journey began in 2009, when we purchased a 300-acre farm just outside of Tadcaster to grow natural fillings for Harrison Spinks mattresses. The farm was home to a beautiful Grade II listed Manor House and, following a loving restoration project, Hornington Manor was transformed into a charming barn wedding venue with luxury accommodation for up to 44 guests.

We have recently opened a second events and wedding venue, the Oakwood at Ryther located just 15 minutes from Hornington Manor. Our third venue, The Motorist, has been running since 2023, and is a petrol-head’s heaven on earth, with a classic car showroom, café and restoration garage. The large event space and restaurant is being added at the moment and will be finished in summer 2021. Most recently, we have opened our fourth venue, Carlton Manor in East Yorkshire — a stunning Tipi and Manor House wedding venue, perfect for both large celebrations and small, intimate weddings.
