Harrison Spinks Farm - Hemp crop
Gary has harvested the hemp crop from 80 acres of farmland. This crop is now ready to enter the hemp processing plant. We are presently processing 5 tonnes a week and the plant will be operational throughout the Winter months. Next year our aim will be to double the out put which is ambitious but achievable....it's just that no-one's told the guys in the factory this yet....!
Harrison Spinks Farm - The visitors centre
The Visitors Centre/Showroom at the farm is now coming a long at break-neck speed. It will be completed in January upon which we shall be hosting a Grand Opening and all will be more than welcome. I daresay the odd beverage may also be supplied
The Centre itself is an eco building. By this we mean our team of designers, builders and architects have tried to come up with the most innovative and 'green' designs possible and incorporated these into a stunning yet working building.
With features such as a wild flower and grass living roof, the mezzanine level, designer lighting and hemp insullated walls, we believe the end product will be a stunning piece of individual design merited with state of the art features whilst incorporating building methods which stretch back centuries. The final build should blend into the landscape of the 17th century back-drop while promoting the endless possibilities of modern eco design.
